Best video editing app

when you export the video after editing in this software there will be no watermark, it's great. first if I talk about interface, it's 'video preview' area its timeline area, you can see tracks Project files tab Transitions tab Effects tab these are default tabs its 'Tab bar' area 'File menu' 'Edit', 'Title', 'View' and 'Help menu' we can create new projects for 'New projects' we can open previously worked projects from 'Open projects' recent projects can be opened from 'Recent projects' 'Save project' to save the project 'Save project as' to save the existing project to different name 'Import files' to import different files 'Choose profile' option to choose the different profile according to video profile. It's very important it's default 30fps and is good for youtube videos right.. and. Export video'' to export and 'Quit' to exit from the software.

In the Edit menu 'Undo', 'Redo', 'Clear History', 'Preferences' let's see 'Preferences' you can select the language default is 'English' you can choose if you want to work on a different language default theme is 'Humanity Dark' if you are wan to work on the light theme you can choose default 'Image length in seconds', Volume 'Blender command path' we have to add blender command path to use inbuilt animated titles templates and you have to install blender and add its path here for advance image editor 'Inkscape' is used the same thing apply here (you have to install Inkscape and add its path here) Profile, as we previously discussed.

Its same thing right.. and.. main thing Keyboard shortcuts are provided here if you want to see the keyboard shortcuts which is used in openshot you can see Explaining.. so these are shortcuts, which you should consider having a look you can also modify these shortcuts and change it so i dont want to do any changes, let me close it some shortcuts icons are given here in tab bar area which we saw in 'Menu section' to view openshot in full screen use this option 'Full screen' and you can toggle this from same option also right.. 'Export' to export project and we can also resize our tabs accordingly like 'video preview' are or 'timeline' area or any other tab 'Add Track' to add new track eg. video, audio (same track you can use for video or audio) 5 tracks are here 'Remove Tracks' to remove any track Tracks are getting removed to again add track  click on 'Add Track' and we can also do it from here add track above current or add track below current and we can also rename track we can also lock the track this tool is 'Snap tool' i will explain it when i will edit videos for now i am explaining it verbally 'Razor tool' to cut the video 'Marker tool' to add marker to video track left arrow to go to 'previous marker' and right arrow to go to 'next marker' and it is for Zoom Default zoom is 15 seconds zoom. you will see as i will do zoom setting zoom will change so guys this was brief introduction about 'Openshot Interface'.

Now we will learn how to import any file in openshot To import any file go to 'File menu' then click on 'import files' or you can use 'CTRL+F' Or go to the folder from where you want to import the files if you want to import single file then click and drag to openshot 'project files' to import multiple files select multiple files using 'CTRL + left mouse click' then drag it and drop on openshot 'Project files' tab you can see files have been imported to edit these videos to edit videos we have to drag it to the 'timeline' area now we can start editing this clip so guys i added this clip to timeline so let me play it first you can see videos is playing video lagging is very common issue in openshot while editing (for normal system configuration). but when you will export video after editing, there will be no lagging in video so dont worry about that so guys earlier I was talking about 'snap tool' let me add another video to explain this right now snapping is 'enabled' if I drag one video to another then it automatically snaps to each other see it if i turn off 'snapping' then videos will not snap to each other so you can enable snapping if you want to now let me remove this video guy, now we will see how to split, cut or trim video To split video i will use 'Razor tool' and click on the starting and ending point from where i want to split the video now the video is split now we can select that part and delete it using 'delete' key from the keyboard now we can snap it together.

So guys this is how we split the video (one method) if we are not satisfied with the changes we can 'Undo' the changes using 'CTRL+Z' keyboard use 'CTRL+Z' to undo changes Guys now we will learn how to add 'fade in' and 'fade out' effect in our videos as you can see i imported few videos let me play the video first, to show you there is no fade in or fade out effect to add 'fade in' effect i will right click on the video and go to fade..and if we want to add fade in to start then click on 'start of clip' then choose 'fade in slow' or 'fade in fast' now you can see fade in let me show you again see we can also add fade out now we have to go to 'Fade' and select 'End of the clip' and choose 'Fade out fast'   you can see so guys this is how we can add 'fade in' or 'fade  out' to any videos as we want now we will learn how to remove audio from a video let me play this video first you can listen there is sound in video (very slow sound) to remove sound from this video, i will right click then i will go to 'Separate audio' and then 'Single clip' (all channels) now you can see audio separated from video let me play it now we can select the audio clip and move it or delete it   now audio is separated you can see or we can also remove it   we can also add another audio or background music i imported this audio track then i will place this audio track exactly below our video track and using 'Razor tool' i can split extra audio and we can delete the extra part of audio video playing.

We can also reduce the volume of audio if we want to make this as background music Right click on audio track go to 'Volume' and select from 'level 0% to 90%' now let me play we have reduced it to 50% we can also lower it by doing below 50% now lets play and listen so guys this is how we separate/remove audio from video or add another audio... or add background music to video Guys now we will learn to add transitions between videos I have added two videos to timeline to show you transition effect let me play it and show you there are no transition effect between videos to add transition.. ..simply drag one video and drop to another video you can see transition effect have been created let me play and show you you can see very slow transition effect we can also make transition fast by resizing its size by drag it from corners now you can see fast and smooth transition there is another method to add transition let me undo changes first and then i will right click on the video and then 'Animate' then 'End of the clip' then 'Center to edge' and i will select 'Center to right' and in this video i will do in starting of clip right click on video then 'Animate' then 'Start of the clip' then 'Edge to center' to 'Left to center' now lets play and see     so we can add this in starting as well as in end so guys this is how we add transitions.. there is another method also eg. transitions tab. there are a lot of transitions here simply select the transition and drag it.. ..and drop on video and resize it accordingly so guys I explained 3 ways to add transitions, right guys.

Now we will learn to create a 'Timelapse' effect in video and reduce video timing and also we will learn to create 'Slowmotion' effect and increase video timing let me play this video first you can see the video is playing normally to create timelapse I will right-click on the video and then go to 'Time' then go to 'Fast' select 'Forward' '8X' '8X' or you can select accordingly you can see video duration is now shortened now let me play and show you you can see guys Guys video was lagging while playing but there will be no lagging after you export the video. now let me undo the changes Now I will show you 'Slowmotion' effect right click on video and go to 'Time' then 'Slow' then 'Forward' and select '1/4' now you can see video duration increased let me play the video and show you you can see.. 'Slowmotion' effect has been created so guys this is how you create 'Timelapse' or you can create 'Slowmotion' effect I know video this video was not suitable to create these effect but to explain this I showed you.

Now you can choose your video accordingly and create these effect Guys, now we will learn to add 'text and titles' to video to add titles we need to click on 'Title' menu and then click on 'titles' here you can see some 'titles' templates are provided let me select one from these then we can rename our title file let me give it a name Here you have to put your actual title text from here we can select different Font, font size Let me select the font and font size we can also choose font color.. ..and also font background color now we can save this Now it will be in our 'Project Files' tab Now we can drag it and drop to timeline we can also put it at the starting of video let me resize it now let me play it you can see text has been added let me show you one more thing you can also animate this text let me resize it again then click on titles track and move the cursor to the point we want to add transformation then right click and click on 'Transform' and we can resize it by draging it from corners dot now let me play it and show you you can see it this is how we can add text titles to our video you can also add 'Animated titles' (from openshot animated templates) delete it first We have to click on 'Title' menu and then click on 'Animated Title' to use this feature you should have 'Blender' installed on your system let me choose one template i have selected this one we can add our title in 'Title' input area right.

We can also give name to our file you can also checkout the settings we can choose diffuse color of our text from 'Diffuse Color' option after doing all settings we will click on 'Render' button so guys it will take sometime to render rendering has been started So guys rendering has been completed now we will click on Video tab in (Project Files) tab you can see our animated titles is here now we can add this to timeline we can also resize it let me play it first you can see guys there are lot of Animated titles templates, you can choose any title let me play it again and show you so there are lot of Animated titles template you can choose from and i picked a random and a very simple title you can choose according to your choice and you can change to font and color to use it Guys now we will learn about 'Green screen' or 'Chroma key' feature in openshot from help of this method.

We can change the background of any green screen video and as a background we can use any image or any video i will use a jpg image as a background background file will be placed below our green screen video track whether it is image of any video file as you can see i placed. our green screen video will be placed on top then we will click on green screen video then we will click on 'Effects' tab then select 'Chroma key' effect and drag and drop to video then right click on letter 'c' icon and click on properties double click on 'key color' now we will choose color click on color picker and choose green screen video color, then click on select most of green color is already removed one thing to notice is we have to place our pointer to start of the video. otherwise this effect will not apply on whole video if you put pointer on anywhere else then we need to adjust fuzz to remove remaining green color as you can see on the edge.

when i will play the video so to remove this green color we need to adjust fuzz double click on fuzz I will set it to 200 now let me play the video so guys you can see green color is removed from video and even from corners remaining you can adjust from fuzz right guys, remaining green color you can remove by adjusting fuzz, if any Guys, now we will learn how to export project in openshot. to export we need to click on 'Export Video' (red button) give any name to you file i gave 'Openshot green screen' now select the folder where you want to export the video Profile 'All formats' (you can also select other formats from dropdown) Target 'h.264' and the 'Video Profile' which we selected on starting set Quality to 'High' then click on 'Export Video' then your project will start exporting.
